So my cousin Amber sent me some items cut from a magazine/catalogue: a pair of shorts, a camera, a tube of lipstick and a dress. I was to create a scene using all of the clippings AND had to include a caption. So here's the result.
This is a fun thing to do with your kids/students for cartooning and storytelling possibilities. AND RECYCLING MAGAZINES IS JUST SO GREEN AND EARTH-FRIENDLY that you get the ADDED BONUS of feeling as though YOU'RE SAVING THE PLANET. So: do it for the cartooning, do it for the untold generations of people who will come after you. Just do it.
