The next installment of pages -- from January 9th - 12th!
Jan. 9th, Saturday: I'd received a wonderful RAK from a member of the Fauxbonichi Journalers group on Saturday, and got to work right away using some of the items in the oh-so-thoughtful package!
Jan. 10th, Sunday: More items from the RAK package used...
Jan. 11th, Monday: For this month especially, I'm trying to work in themes from kiddie lit as much as possible, and in a way that makes sense/ doesn't seem forced. I'm doing this because A. It's the way my brain works and B. I want to explore more in-depth what meaning the themes these nursery rhymes and fairy tales have for me, in telling my own story. Working this way -- collaging, doodling, journaling is just one way to brainstorm. More ideas become available when you just START, in a way that just writing lists of possible ideas doesn't quite reach.
Jan. 12th, Tuesday: And speaking of kiddie lit... Some themes just sort of present themselves. The day prior, one of the drawing prompts was "mitten". One of the drawing prompts from this day was "laundry" -- hanging on the line to dry. I'd already applied the cat washi tape to the page. What other choice did I have but to go Three Little Kittens? I'll tell you: NO other choice! :-)
If you'd like to know the SOURCE of something on these pages, I'd be happy to share that with you -- just leave your question in the comments section below & I'll get back atcha!
Also, if you have an art journaling question that you'd like me to address in a blogpost -- about process, gathering ideas, etc. -- please let me know! I love input and would like to have "conversations" in this way. I want to respond to what you guys are thinking about so we can inspire each other! :-)
Thank you for stopping by!
